My grandad malcolm.
i remember him quite well but not alot, i was only 11 when he passed away so i dont really remember him that well to be honest.
I remember going to my grandads house one day with my mum and taking him a golfing trolley for his golf bag, he loved golf, he would go every week, i remeber going to his house and seeing the nintendo handheld game thing in the bathroom, my nan used to say, he plays in while he is on the toilet. bless him. These may be small memory;s but they are the ones that remind me of my grandad- i miss him lots.
Just before my grandad passed away him and my nan were walking round b and q, and he sed he had chest pains so he went to hospital and they sed he had suffered a heart attack, they kept him in for a few days and then let him home, while he was in hospital i wanted to go and visit him, but i wasnt allowed, a few days after being allowed home, he went to bed one night and went back downstairs to get a drink, when he did not return to bed my nan went to check on him and thats when she found him lying on the floor.
he had, had another heart attack.
we went to see him in the chapel of rest on the day of his funeral, i sat there and cried and i gave him one last kiss and said my final goodbyes.
when we got out of the chapel of rest my mum sed to me she thought he was going to jump out at her from his coffin and say im only joking because thats something he would do, and sometimes i wish it was just a joke...........
I remember him as being funny and being able to make people laugh.
my fondest memory of him is our last chritmas together, me and my family went over on boxing day 1999 and opened our presents they had bought us, he bought me a doll thing that you can style her hair, i kept that for years just for something to remember my grandad by.
then on boxing day afternon he had his xmas hat on cutting up the turkey! Thats my best memory of him and i miss him so much i just wish he was here today to meet his great grandchildren.
My grandad is thought about all the time and our whole family misses him so much.
He is now re-united with his wife who passed away 5 years after him. they made such a lovely couple and im glad they are together for ever more.
Miss you Grandad.
